One cannot be sure whether Shahid Kapoor ditched the charity event that Donald Trump was a Chief Guest at, or he was not supposed to be a part of it in the first place. Held at PNC Arts Centre, New Jersey, ‘Humanity United Against Terror’ was expected to be a star-studded Bollywood-themed charity event, which was attended by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and the US Presidential candidate. Interestingly, the posters of the event prominently featured Shahid, apart from other Bollywood celebs like Prabhu Dheva, Malaika Arora Khan and Ameesha Patel. While Prabhu, Ameesha and Malaika performed at the event, the newly-turned father was conspicuous by his absence. Considering the posters featured Shahid as one of the performers, his absence left the audience mighty disappointed. Whether his name was included as a publicity gimmick to attract maximum audience or he was actually supposed to perform at the event is something only Shahid can tell.
Besides sealing her place as one of the most promising actresses of today, Shraddha Kapoor has also found appreciation for her singing skills. Her upcoming release ‘Rock On 2’ also has some numbers crooned by her. But recent reports suggest that Shraddha isn’t too happy with the way she sounds in the songs of the musical. So much so that she requested producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar to have them recorded again with another singer instead. However, Farhan, who is also her co-star and a close friend, was adamant about retaining her songs. Buzz is, this has led to a creative difference of sorts between the two. Uh oh!
While the tension between India and Pakistan is just getting intense with each passing day, here's news that might shock moviegoers and all cinema aficionados. As per the latest reports, National Award winning filmmaker, Shyam Benegal wants to work with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in a film that would talk about reuniting the warring countries through art and cultural ties. The film is titled 'Ye Raste Hain Pyaar Ke' and will be directed by Harsh Narayan. Fawad could be seen playing a musician in the film. At a time when most Bollywood actors and filmmakers have taken a stern stance against casting Pakistani actors in Indian films, Benegal's wish to work with Fawad might not go down too well with the Bollywood fraternity. On the one hand, CBFC Chief, Pahlaj Nihalani made it loud and clear that he is totally against Pakistani actors working in Bollywood films, and on the other, Benegal, who leads CBFC Revamp Committee, is already contemplating casting Fawad for his next. Ajay Devgn too recently said that at a time when bullets are being exchanged from Pakistan, we cannot talk about cultural exchange with them. Ajay categorically said that the nation comes first for him and he wouldn't care at all if his films don't release in Pakistan. Let's wait and watch how the industry reacts to Shyam Benegal's wish.
Sonam Kapoor is always tight-lipped when it comes to her personal life, but we know better. The actress, who will begin shooting for sister Rhea Kapoor’s 'Veere Di Wedding' soon, is currently holidaying in London. And here’s where it gets interesting. The actress’ rumoured boyfriend Anand Ahuja has joined her on the trip. Sonam has posted some videos on Snapchat where you can see her hanging out with Anand (seen in a white shirt in the picture) and their friends. The actress is said to be dating Anand for quite sometime now. Sonam even introduced Anand to her Bollywood friends recently at Akshay Kumar’s party for Will Smith, which was held last month. We hear, Anand is based out of Delhi and is in the apparel business.

If reports are to be believed, Sajid Khan, who is back to wielding the megaphone for the fourth installment in the superhit franchise, has made it clear to producer Sajid Nadiadwala, that he doesn’t want Jacqueline Fernandez, who was a part of earlier two installments, to be part of ‘Housefull 4’. Khan dated Jacqueline and even cast her in a cameo role in ‘Housefull’ and a full-fledged role in ‘Housefull 2’, but the two parted ways in mid 2013 and haven’t even been on talking terms ever since. While Housefull 3 was directed by Sajid-Farhad, owing to Khan’s fallout with Nadiadwala, the two have mended the bridge and have let the bygones be bygones. So while both the Sajids are back to being friends, it remains to see whether Khan keeps his personal past behind him and agrees to work with Jacqueline or Jackie loses out on her next big box-office ticket. Also, it remains to be seen whether Nadiadwala chooses Jackie over his long-time friend Khan. Let’s wait and watch.
